Megha Shah is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice with her focus as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Megha is a seasoned healthcare provider with nearly 20 years of experience as Staff Nurse, Charge Nurse, and now a Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Megha has experience working in inpatient as well as outpatient settings.
Megha is a recipient of several professional awards such as The DAISY Award, Northwestern Excellence Award, Badass Nurse Award, and many other such recognitions. Megha has implemented several passion projects such as Patient Safety Flags, Aroma Therapy, Patient Post-Discharge Callback etc.

The Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing (CJON) is an official publication of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and is directed to the practicing nurse specializing in the care of patients with an actual or potential diagnosis of cancer. CJON is a vehicle to promote the mission of ONS, which is to advance excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care.
The CJON mission is to publish clinically relevant, evidence-based content for oncology nurses in diverse roles and practice settings to use when caring for those affected by cancer.

ONCC is the premier provider of nationally accredited certification for nurses in oncology and related specialties. Founded in 1984 as a non-profit organization, ONCC administered the first Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) examination in 1986. Today, ONCC offers eight credential programs and has more than 39,000 currently certified nurses.
All ONCC certification examinations are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies. NCCA is an independent organization that has identified the essential components of a national certification program and determines if credentialing organizations meet established standards based on those components. These standards are nationally recognized principles used by a variety of organizations for certification programs in diverse professions. NCCA accreditation indicates that ONCC programs have been evaluated by the Commission and meet or exceed all of its standards.


ONS conferences, including the virtual ONS Bridge™, are planned and coordinated with care by a hard-working group of volunteer nurses who comprise our Content Planning Team.
